thank you so very very much sally... i have watched that little video numerous times since i first saw a clip on the bbc . spring of 2023 on one of his first visits to a small community charles & camilla had met a young mother with a child i cannot remember the extent of his blindness but there was charles walking hand in hand with this child & it was beautiful & the crowd that had gathered just loved it .
unfortunately the media by the mid 80's no matter where came up incredibly short when it came to capturing charles what is most unfortunate is for many photographers i honestly believe that they never truly looked at charles the man until he ascended the throne... perceptions have not always been fare to charles over the years thus now every photograph that appears captures the exuberance & emotion that he feels . the race track, one of his first real outings sure enough there is zara tindall actually propelling herself into charles's arms with this incredible hug me thinks that his niece was pleased to see him... thank you again sally i much enjoyed...
The public perception of Charles seems to be shifting in a more positive direction as people see aspects of his character and personality that have been there all along.
i am sorry to say that i actually find it amusing... you are right it has been there all along... sometimes i think that the media when it came to royal coverage they pigeon holed charles based on what they perceived as quirky without truly looking at charles the man thus not remotely attempting to understand him... although the world was more than aware that the queen was aging it is as if they never considered that charles would become a king .
when charles & camilla returned to buckingham palace after leaving balmoral... he must have asked the driver to stop outside the gates when i saw the news video his look was very iffy i remember a woman taking his hands his face changed to pure wonderment his eyes said it all they like me... i will never forget that moment simply because i truly feel that the media that covers the royal family have no idea how there coverage actually affects the royal family . i am noticing a gradual change in there coverage it is actually supportive & it is about time... with the actual people that they see they support they serve there is a true connection between charles the king & camilla the queen the people young or old see them more as human beings... with a revered respect . it does not matter who the royal is that comes there is great support as people truly need this connection it stabilises & people need that...
